History

UK Parachuting has a 25 year history operating parachute centres, currently operating out of two centres; Sibson airfield in Cambridgeshire and Beccles airfield in Suffolk.

Sibson airfield has been home to a parachute centre since 1971 making it one of the first civilian drop zones in the country. Over the years it has gone through many changes and is now owned by Grant Richards and Jason Thompson who have been running UK Parachuting for over 6 years.

UK Parachuting (Sibson) is open for jumping from Friday to Sunday (plus Thursdays from April – Sept) and there is always someone on hand to answer any questions you may have. Chris McCann is the current Club Chief Instructor (CCI) and he and his team of experienced staff hope to make your visit a memorable one. All instructors at UK Parachuting are British Parachute Association (BPA) qualified.

UK Parachuting is now operating two Cessna Caravan 208’s. The Caravan can take up to 14 jumpers to an altitude of 13,000ft in less than 15 minutes.

For information about all events at the drop zone either subscribe to our newsletter or check out the club zone on the home page.

All instruction at UK Parachuting is provided by British Parachute Association qualified Instructors.
